  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform comprehensive retinal exams and interpret imaging results

    • Deliver on-site laser treatment for conditions like proliferative diabetic retinopathy

    • Mentor residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical procedures

    • Ensure proper documentation and follow-up planning

    • Collaborate with local providers to establish sustainable care pathways

    • Assist in patient intake and retinal imaging

    • Participate in laser treatments under supervision

    • Document findings and manage patient records

    • Educate patients about disease management and follow-up care

    • Shadow retina specialists and receive training in diagnostic and procedural skills

    • Conduct initial vision screening and patient history intake

    • Operate portable retinal imaging devices

    • Help organize patient flow and assist in exams

    • Educate patients about retinal health and lifestyle risk factors

    • Support referral coordination and follow-up tracking

    • Register patients and collect relevant health history

    • Measure visual acuity and other vital signs as needed

    • Administer basic retinal screenings under supervision

    • Prepare patients for imaging or clinical examination

    • Organize transportation, accommodations, and schedules

    • Oversee setup and breakdown of mobile clinics
